Hi, I came across a picture of Eric Best and his super Road Loco model of a Wallis and Stevens , which was exhibited at a Wilton show back in 2015. I think its about 1.5 inch scale, maybe 2 inch?

Naturally I emailed everyone re the posting and put a ad on TT, but alas no replies of yet. I did find a Model Engineer reference to him , and shows he was equally skilled in making a Fowler in card, which was impossible to tell by looking what it was made from such is the quality!

It could well be that the Wallis is made from card as well! But I think there was a company making castings and drawings back in the 1950’s though I have never seen a set.. something like sommerbys ? Was the company name... if anyone has a set or one I would be interested to see!

Its a rare model , one came up on Srsteam web site a few years ago , but alas no drawings... If anyone can help that would be marvellous!🤞

thanks and kind regards,

pps anyone have a 1.5 inch Fowler showmans? As you can see I do like the smaller engine!
