I have just picked up an inexpensive old Brown & Sharpe dividing head. My needs for such a device are modest, so I think it will do all I want for the moment even though some of its cleverer parts might be missing? But I would like to know what it might be capable of?

Can anybody out there recognise what model it is? What I really need is a manual for the thing and this is the first step. Other than it says Browne & Sharpe on it, there are no other numbers I can see that might help.

It has a 6 inch chuck fitted and is very heavy!

Nice piece of kit you have there. Does it have the usual 40 turns per rev ? This gives one turn 9 degrees.
