127 forum posts 19 photos | The Editorial for the latest issue of ME reminds me of a time - long ago - or it seems to be, when I, as t the Senior Controller of the Power System in Western Ausralia) was asking the Unit Controller on a Muja generator why his machine was erratic in it's output (in MW). His reply, was that, as the fuel (coal) was coming from a stockpile that had been not too well stored, and as such, had no callorific content. ie. the fuel going into the boiler was indeed non combustible! Lots of sand, but no callories. Things have improved over the years, but the episode does give me a smile. |
