627 forum posts 72 photos | Having read Michael Cox's article in MEW No 287 I liked the idea and purchased from Auto Lights [no Connection] a pair of 100mm led's and I followed Micheals procedure of using 8mm MDF,this was fine for me as headroom is not an issue.I did not sink the magnets in the MDF as the article but glued them on the surface of the rings. My mill is a SX3 and a 100mm ring light is the maximum that can be accomodated.I do get a small shadow below the collet chuck, but this dose not bother me as I use a laser centre finder and I won't have to turn off the light to find the punch mark.A great immprovement on my two halogen lights which if not careful would melt the plastic ends of the spider. Thanks Michael.
