As this is a safety-related component, I suggest that you refer to your drawing. If you have no drawing and you don't know the answer from experience, should you really be making parts which can blow up in someone's face?

Hello Kevin, you are in a club then ask the boiler inspector or see if someone has the drawing with the information on it. As there are only 2 stays I'm assuming that these are longitudinal stays. Are they threaded or silver soldered in? Material is most likely to be phosphor bronze but may also be copper but check before you do anything.

Hi Tim all I have is the drawings and no material list to refer to on the drawing all it says is 2 holes 3/16 stays and that is it . I will have to see if GKR Kennions have a list as I did get the drawings from them .

Thanks for the reply Kevin
