The Market Deeping Club appears to have made a terrific effort and rebuilt their kit, after the carnage at their exhibition, at the Stamford Academy, by 4 (drunken?) youths.

From the BBC, their exhibition is on show today at the NEC at the Warley exhibition.

edited to add that I have since seen this posted on the Rod Stewart thread.  Still think they deserve a huge amount of credit for their efforts after the earlier incident, so thread not deleted.

The Deeping MRC will be exhibiting at The Festival Of Model railways in the Excel Centre in Peterborough, 7th and 8th December. A splendid recovery from such a devastating experience.

I shall take time off from stewarding on the Peterborogh S M E stand to go and see them.

I might well go along on Sunday even though I’m not a train enthusiast. It is the annual makit lace making, beading and quillting suppliers’ fair at Solihull on the Saturday, so might go there with my wife. I expect she would like to see if there are any T gauge offerings for sale.

Looks like it might be an expensive weekend!
