Those are American AISI code numbers so best bought in the US, if you are in another part of the world look up a suitable equivalent and see what's available locally. For example 4340 would be EN24T which can be found from many suppliers in the UK, M-Machine do small amounts

I am looking for an alloy that resists stress fractures when repeatedly bashed to and fro (a rather small diameter reversing rod for table feed reverse on a Surface Grinding machine) Edited By Adam Harris on 06/10/2019 20:06:43 |
