![]() 396 forum posts 111 photos | I'm looking for advice on choosing a Dickson type quick change tool post for my lathe. Problem is what size do I get as best fit and what info do I need to put here for you to advise me. The Denham Junior Mk2 has a centre height of 5" from the flat, 4.5" from the top of the V. the holding bolt is .5" and is approx 45 mm from the centre of the bolt to the edge of the top slide and surface of topslide to centre of spindle is 14.87 mm. My thoughts are a tool post that will overhang the edge of the topslide allowing me to drop the cutter holder below the level of the topslide although I expect an avalanche of 'don't/can't' do that! Any ideas fellow machinists? Edited By Rockingdodge on 21/06/2019 20:54:32 |
