allchin 1.5 scale o rings

Hi Can anyone help in identifying correct size and material grade for glands and piston o rings for use n my allchin 1.5 model. Supplier information would also be appreciated!

Hughes Drew it for Graphite yarn packing so you will have to work out your own hole diameters and depths to get the correct compression on gland O rings and the same with the piston ring grooves. Silicon rings would be best.

When the repeat construction series was published in ME, starting sometime around 1974, Hughes did provide some details for O-rings for piston and glands. AFAIK, the commercially available drawings are still in the original form however.

Just checked the text and sketches in the book and as Clive says O rings are mentioned and sizes of recess etc given.
