7227 forum posts 21 photos | At M E Shows, a 7 1/4" gauge model is shown, as manufacture progresses. It is going to be quite a beast when completed. Even transporting to a venue will require a hefty vehicle. An the curves of the track cannot be too sharp, given the wheelbase o the eight coupled wheels. The prototypes did not see too many curves, hauling freight trains, long distances across U S A. When the original was s described as "The largest locomotive on earth" he was unaware that it had just derailed, and was on the earth! Howard |
