Centaur build

Pressing on with my set of castings for Centaur.
Today saw machining start on the flywheel, cuts well but as with some of the others I have machined they could have been a bit more generous with the material!

All finished one side and reamed the bore so need to remount to complete the other side.
I have made a slight change to the original design by increasing main and big end running diameters to 5/8 which looks a lot 'meatier'
Anyone interested can have a look in my photos to see what I've been up to!

Looks good so far. I have just finish mine and have had it running on propane and petrol. I found that the carb spring needed to be a little stronger than the write up suggested!

Hi Alan

Yes mine runs well and starts easy, I'm using coil ignition. Just a tip fit a non return valve in the fuel line (just a simple ball returning by gravity). I'm having a problem up loading photos but hope to in future.
