Do any of you know where I might get a shim for my tool holder at a good price? The tool holder takes TNMG1604 inserts. The shim is 3.18 thick and the pin it goes on is about 5.6mm. For the price I’ve found over here so far I could get a complete new tool holder from eBay. TIA.

There are many shims for TNMG holders. So a brand of holder is needed. You can probably by a cheap brand holder for the price of some shims these days.

Thanks Chris, the second one may fit. By the time I’ve paid vat and postage on that though I could get a complete holder for about 30p more! smiley

Where do you get holders so cheaply? It's a £3.60 shim plus postage £3.10, a holder would cost at least double that amount unless we're talking Banggood stuff..

I think I got the last one on the auction site for £6.99 inc postage. I’ll order another one as it’s been quite handy and TNMG inserts last ages.
