Hello all - looking forward to picking the experts minds here about a Meddings Driltru restoration that I am currently involved in!

Cheers!

Hello Jason - I have posted there as well (posting here as forum suggests newbies should!).

No sign of my main post. Assume its being checked by a moderator before being allowed to be posted up?

Hi Mark and welcome. There's lots of advice here. However Meddings themselves are often worth a call. i was given a machine of their's very old which I did up just good enough. However I wanted after a few years to make it really good again. They had many of the parts available except a crucial one which was the quill drive shaft and gear which had originally been badly damaged before my time with it. I eneded up giving it away to a fellow ME who wanted other spares sadly.

regards

Ian.

Hello Ian - I have posted a post in the wanted section but it hasn’t appeared - I don’t know if a moderator needs to approve it first, but it’s been a few days now..?

I have already spoken to Meddings about a few bits for the drill, but spares are limited for the Driltru models and they have said that they don’t have the "Meddings" vertical name plate that sits at the front of the belt casing.

I'm hoping that someone here has an old belt casing with the name plate on it that I can buy, but seems a bit of a long shot..

But thanks for your suggestion!

Cheers,

Mark

Mark, Put it here in the wanted classifieds not the help and assistance thread.
