hi Everyone. I have just purchased a 105VM lathe and 13 mill in a bereavement sales. I am looking for someone to service and check them over. Any ideas please? Best regards Keith

Might be worth contacting Anglo-Swiss Tools - if they don't do this sort of thing themselves, they may have a suggestion:

They also have an archive of catalogues and manuals which I think includes those for both of your machines.BTW, you probably have a 102VM - to the best of my knowledge there never was a 105.:

You could also ask on the Schaublin Yahoo list:

...although depending on what you want done, maybe any experienced machine tool person (non Schaublin specific) could help. If the machines are not actually broken, chances are they might just need lubricants topped up or replaced, and a bit of a clean. Maybe someone experienced from a local model engineering club could take an initial look, for diagnosis at least?

There are also specialist forums at Practical Machinist for Schaublin lathes and mills where you will get plenty of help if you want to do work on the machines yourself.

Finally it might help to find someone local to you if you state your approx location (nearest big town?), or a country at least - s'pose we could guess from your user name but for all we know you're originally from the Wessex area but now live in Australia
