421 forum posts 49 photos | I'm looking for a new project for next winter and after trawling through just about every forum and ME site out there its come down to a choice between The Les Chenery De Havilland Gipsy 1, or the Gnome rotary. Having just finished a rotary I fancied a change, so I'm hoping to build the Gipsy, the only problem is the crankcase castings which are as rare as the preverbal hen's teeth. The last mention of the castings on this site was back in 2015, so I wondering if anyone has been successful in sourcing castings since then. Thanks |

421 forum posts 49 photos | Hi. Jason. Yep I was told about a set yesterday, but they where long gone, I've got a post up on MEM as well. Might be an opportunity to try my hand at pattern making!!!
