Daisy wheel motion works by John Wilding

In M.E's 4336/38/40/42 John Wilding describes a daisy wheel motion works as an alternative to the normal geared motion works.

Even after making a new cam and filing the tops of the petals, the petals still stick on the pins of the pin wheel.

Any guidance please on where I have gone wrong.
