627 forum posts 72 photos | On trying to download an entry form for the spalding show I was suprised to see that it has been cancelled, but is still showing in the events page.Dave Webster started this show and it has gone from strength to strength better every year for the past 4 years and it is a credit to his familys efforts. This was a much needed show in this region as we are a long way from most shows and it gave the eastern region hobby engineers a chance to show at a good exhibition.I for one will sorely miss it. 7227 forum posts 21 photos | The E mail from David Webster came as a great surprise. The Show was improving every year. It's loss will be felt in East Anglia and North of England. Seems unlikely that My Time Media would take on running it. Warners perhaps, since they now own E I M and already run a Model Railway Show in Peterborough? Sadly, the P S M E Rally will not be held at Sacrewell Farm this year either; another loss! We hope to have a small static display at the Ramsey Steam and Fire Show at the Ramsey Rural Museum, (7th and 8th July) and would be Sacrewell participants have been advised to apply to display there. However, some members will exhibit their Road Engines. P S M E will have a static exhibit at the Farm Open Days at Park Farm, Thorney, near Peterborough, over 9th and 10th June, and expect to to be able to have the portable track there also. Howard |
