Hi. I have got the chance to buy a viceroy bench mounted lathe from a friend that is immigrating. What sorta money are they worth, supposed to be in good condition. Hoping to go and see it next week.

Checking ebay sold listing can be a good indicator.

Looks like an average of £500, sometimes down to £300 or up to £800. Always on a bit of luck and two rich guys hoping to have a lathe on ebay. Those were with the makers cabinet/stand though so maybe cut £100 off if its the bare lathe.

He's bringing the lathe with him?smiley Transport costs could be considerabe?smiley

Depends a lot on its actual condition, and which model i would think. Later vversionswere popular and still are.
