Hi All,

Todays car boot haul included this unusual screwdriver tool by SKARSTEN, the scraper people:

Push the collar forward and it locks in place to use as an awl then press button to return to screwdriver mode!

Cheers,

Martin

A pretty neat idea overtaken by posi-screws - It'd probably be fairly poor at both jobs though in any case.

The demise of Skarsten scrapers is sad though. Their cabinet scrapers were great and very handy. I kept a few old blades for a while but eventually gave up and went back to card scrapers.

Jon,

I did not know Skarsten scrapers were no more, possibly this explains why nice ones with spare blades do so well on EBay, we sell quite a few in a year, putting a few togerther at a time to make shipping reasonable.

It could be used for getting crusty lids off of tins of paint too laugh
