![]() 1129 forum posts 1 photos | Hi All, Got 3 Griptru chucks and just started to dismantle the first smallest one which is basically quite good but one or two dings and filthy inside. All went OK until I tried to remove the last of the 3 chuck key gears. The small retaining pin has sheared off at the screwdriver slot, (not me, already done!) and despite gentle heat, WD40 and tapping etc will not budge! Cannot remove the scroll for cleaning until this is out. Any thoughts please? Cheers, Martin |

I carefully centred the hole with the pin using a conical centre in the top of the hole then heart in mouth plunged a 2.5mm solid carbide slot mill gently down and down. Finally the remaining little stub started spinning and out it came! Made a new pin and job done. Cheers, Martin |
