For the peace of mind of anyone concerned that I deleted a critical thread, I want to record the following:

1 - A forum member posted a criticism of MTM's profits quoting a figure that was grossly incorrect by an order of magnitude.

2 - In response to this one person declared they would no longer subscribe to our magazines, others may have come to the same conclusion.

It seems that in the 'post truth' society some people feel they can post anything and simply saying 'I'm sure I saw it somewhere' is an acceptable alternative to accepting you are wrong.

I'm afraid that we can't allow our own website to be used to host damaging and grossly incorrect information about the company.

I have no doubt that if similarly inaccurate comments were posted here about one of our competitors, they would ask us to remove it.
