3 forum posts | Dear all I have a set of castings, boiler and plans for a 5" Lancashire and Yorkshire Pug by RJ Bray. Work is progressing slowly, the plans are disintegrating! We are stuck re the positioning of the springs and keeper plate (if any?). Can anyone help/advise and or advise where to find a new set of plans too?
With grateful thanks Simon |

![]() 33 forum posts 4 photos | Dear Sirs, I am looking for drawings from which I can make live steam locomotive PUG in 5" gauge. It seems the bigger suppliers do not have them? Can anyone recommend a set of drawings I can use and from where to source them? Thankyou, Dave. |

3 forum posts | Hello Dave
I have been building a Pug with the assistance of my cousin, based on drawings by R J Bray. We have come to a halt because: 1. we are missing some castings 2 We do not understand how the steam "flows" to the cylinders and 3. the plans are disintegrating. I am intending on trying to find a print shop which can scan the drawing and print a new set. Any ideas where this might be possible. Once scanned an extra set can always be printed off if you looking for one? Kind regards Simon |

222 forum posts 48 photos | Simon Quick internet search will show there are lots of companies offering a scan and print service. Just a matter of finding one near you. It will not be cheap but probably no more than the price of a set of drawings from Reeves or similar. My Aspinal drawings cost me about £60 for 13 sheets. Dave |

![]() 33 forum posts 4 photos | Hello Simon, I understand that the RJ Bray drawings are the ones that are generally accepted. I have not seen them in detail but most of the PUGS out there. Yes I would be interested if you can generate a clear and understandable set. Be careful on the copyright issues? I would very much appreciate a set though.Happy to send you paypal funds for the shipping etc. I am not sure where you are located but there are many high street print shops that specialise in this. My neighbour owns one of the biggest in the are we live, Thanet in Kent. He did a new set for my Jubilee after the original ones were ruined in my workshop. Happy to get them done for you free of charge if you cant find another source. As for your missing castings? Can you machine equivalents from mild? Can you show me the castings you require as I have over 90 castings for various loco's some of which are the PUG which is why I need the plans. If I see what you are after I may me able to identify some? You can send me a pic if need on [email protected] I will see what I have in the workshop. Cheers, Dave.

![]() 33 forum posts 4 photos | Well how about we have a deal. I will get my friend to copy your sheets and re-enhance where possible, depends on the state of those you have? In return for sending you back your originals and a new set I get a chance to view your originals? What do you think? |

Dave I know a solution has been found, but for future reference Staples (now Office Outlet) can scan up to A0, and it's a lot cheaper than £60 for 13 sheets |
