has anyone else built or have a class 66 kit build in progress? I have a particular problem with fit of the grp exhaust box moulding into the steel roof.

The moulding appears to me to have the 'wrong profile' to fit inside the steel roof, the moulding has the profile of the outside of the roof, being, I believe, cut from a complete roof moulding which Maxitrak used to supply with this kit but for some reason discontinued it.

So, if anyone out there has built one of these please help me with how you made it work for you and if possible a picture or two.

Best regards

Deric

There does appear to be a problem with the roof fitting on the Maxitrak Class 66.

A quick look around the web reveals more poorly fitted rooves than well fitted ones.

I think the solution will be for you to hack the GRP moulding until it looks ok in the hole.

Then apply a generous coat of body filler on the inside and hope it doesn't fall out.

Something of a bodge I think and not what you really expect for nearly £3k

But I don't think you'll get much help from Maxitrak, from my experience with them
