dsc_1594.jpgdsc_1593.jpgdsc_1592.jpgI was given this little bench shear a couple of weeks ago. It was pretty grotty, covered in rust. (Sorry no before pictures) I stripped it down and put it into a bath of Evaporust to try to clean it up. I wasn't immpressed by the results. I then did the unthinkable........... I read the instructions. Evaporust needs to be used at 65F (18C) or above and of course the temperature was nowhere near that.

This is a nicely made piece of equipment, all the fasteners are imperial so I think it must be quite old. The only markings on it are METAL SECTION.

Nice find. I made something similar about 35 years ago when helping a mate restore an old car, so much sheet metal to cut it was worth making.
