9 forum posts | can anybody help? I have an old Nu-Tool 4/12 inch horizontal bandsaw which has had the motor and pulleys changed . what size should the pulleys be? the motor runs at 1420 rpm. The current pully is a "2 1/2 motor side to an unknown size on the wormdrive. Many thanks Chris

1504 forum posts 142 photos | Chris, Have had a quick look at my ancient Warco bandsaw, of the same generic type, which have a 3-speed pulley set. The motor is 1/3 HP 1420 rpm, so yours sounds OK. The 3-step pulleys measure, across the rim, as follows motor pulley 47, 54, 66 mm across outside diameter. Largest nearest to motor casing. drive pulley corresponding sizes 94, 74, 54 mm across outside diameter The width across the 3 pulleys is 48 mm The pulleys are cast iron and a bit rough (only machined in the 'V' ) so measurements are to nearest mm.
