Can a Sieg C3 Lathe motor be upgraded

Hello there

I want to know if the 350W motor on my Sieg C3 Lathe can be changed for a 500W motor.

This is not for speed but a bit more power.

With the 350W motor it stalles easily.

If you mean the Super C3 brushless motor, then it's not a drop in as it's too big. You could hang one off the back.

Don't forget to factor in the cost of a new motor controller board. Might be cheaper to sell the existing lathe and upgrade.
