This Lanky attracted some interest with its immaculate paint and detailed backhead.

The Wire EDM I mentioned in the last post was made by a team of SMEE members cooperating and spread around the UK and abroad. One came from either South Africa or Australia I forget which and the demonstrator and lead designer (below) is based in south Devon. This photo is from a talk given at EDMES as I didn't take one at the show. It has 3 microprocessors to run it. I notice that by chance the person in the background is someone who also made the 500 mile round trip from Devon to the show.

The same spark erosion machine and operator were also at the Midland show this year, very neat cuts made in intricate parts, very nice machine to have if making small parts, finish on cut edges was excellent with no hand finishing required.
