Can't find any to match my tools

![]() 7061 forum posts 719 photos | I would whole heartedly endorse the statement by KWIL. I was going to buy a set of insert lathe tools from a well-known ME supplier. Having pushed the sales person they eventually admitted that the inserts were non-standard, so I didn't buy. On another note regarding insert tooling I have found that the Glanze boring bars (Indian made) from RDG are of reasonable quality, but the supplied inserts are hopeless. Fortunately they take standard ISO inserts, which I get from either Greenwood or industrial suppliers. Regards, Andrew |

883 forum posts 11 photos | Hi John The following url :- http://www.chinatungsten.com/Tungsten-Carbide/Mechanically-Clamped-Inserts/Type-4V.html will take you to a page of a cataolgue where you will find details of the inserts that you are after. The bad news is that it's a chinese company but the catalogue is in english (and just about any other language you want). There are contact details for the company on the website that the page will access so you could always try e-mailing them to see if they have a european outlet, or even if they can supply direct. Who knows you mightfind that they can supply at an economic price. I bought a optical tachometer from Hong Kong and it came for under £10 including the shipping - wasn't even worth costing the bits out to build one! Keith |

9 forum posts | Hi,
I have just joined and I saw this post and thought I could help you.
I have the same set only 16mm and a few other guys I know have the same set. We have looked a every catalog for the tips and there is nothing matching to suit these.
They are made to suit these sets. The 12mm fit the 16mm ones and I buy mine from here in Australia from this guy on ebay.
They should work out around 13-14 pound a set thats only about £1.40 each.
With the exchange rate they should work out a lot cheaper even with postage as they are only small. You could ask him how many you could fit in the package for the same amount of postage.
These are the sets he sells
There is a place over here that sells them single but it works out expensive. I think they are about $6-$7 Aus each.
It's a change seeing things over here cheaper than over there.

Certainly looks like you've found the right set. I'll get in touch with the seller. Funny how the answer to my problems lies on the other side of the world

Here is another guy selling them over here for $2 less, he might be worth a try as well.
