HI there. For the one I made I just used a couple of bearings I had in the "might come in handy" box. I have just done a quick check with cheap digital calipers. Bearings are 22mmOD, on a 8mm shaft and about 7mm thick. Hope this helps.

A home made lathe tool grinding rest from Harold Hall's great design HH grinding rest was a very worthwhile project and not too difficult to make but has repaid the effort in spades.
