John, I don't deal with Subs just trying to help out so best to contact Neil. I am able to look up some details but they are not the easiest to follow at the best of times.

Raymond, I did have a look after I posted and as you say their is no DD for ROW just continual card or one off card payment options. I would think if you used the paypal option then that would work in the same way as a card taking a one off payment or a payment each year if you clicked continuous

Hi All

Thank you Neil and Jason for trying to fix my subscription issues.
Thanks to the other posters also.
The office did say they were looking into it but..............they must be still looking.

I tried today again had similar problems to those listed before it tried to sell me two subs today as it has done before also.

it then gave the dreaded "Sorry, we are currently unable to complete your order because either we don't ship to your country or you have products with mixed payment types in your basket." message. I know it by heart.

I tried deleting one of the lines that did not work. then I noticed on the left of the line "update" near the quantity, for some inexplicable reason clicking that as well as remove appeared to remedy the problem, who knows if that points to the actual problem on the web page. Quite frankly as Clark Gable said frankly I don't Give a ......

Certainly a case of My time Wasters disease for me.

Anyway I managed to actually make a payment. I must admit with somewhat mixed feelings. Were it not for the fact that the magazine supports the work of machinists around the world I would have reconsidered my position.

Regards
John

Hi All

Well I thought things were looking up?

This morning I received an email note saying my next payment amount was 100 pounds 50p
"Pending"

Looks like I was double charged? in spite of removing the second line

Can the accounts office look into this please?

Regards
John

Hi

Just noticed that the invoice copy that was emailed to me was for STG 53.15
so why the 100.50 pending on the credit card?

Maybe I better look back at previous years payments.

Regards
John

Just another thought John, you say you clicked "continuous Credit/debit card" did you do this last time? as I think that option may automatically take the money from your card each year and that could be what is confusing things. In other words you are trying to pay agian when it is not needed.

As I said earlier the "system" may be trying to renew your 2year sub automatically and that could be the £100

Hi Jason

From Memory that option was not available last year?
My receipt was for one year and I was given the renew price which is a little cheaper. so it appeared to know about me renewing?

Anyway the back office will have to look into it and correct any anomaly. I did not renew for two years only one.

All this was started when I was sent a renew reminder email that did not work.

regards
John

John, it is not worth asking here for the back office (or any of the subs department) to look into things as they don't follow the forum you need to contact them.
