Thread: Senior E-Type Speed reducer
21/04/2021 20:07:49

I would be pleased to learn if anyone has built the speed reducing kit that was once available and if they have drawings I could photocopy . Any information or other ideas appreciated.

Thread: Myford lathe protective coating
10/07/2018 22:25:25

Hi, I have just an ML7RB made in 1993, obviously little used as it still has a lot of the protective grease on it. After 25 years this grease has hardened and reluctant to come off. It is on both painted and machined surfaces. I've tried the toothbrush and paraffin sketch but made very little headway. Willing to listen to any ideas, obviously don't want to spoil the paint.

Thread: Hemingway taper turning kit for a Myford lathe
18/03/2018 11:30:28

Hi All, I am at present advertising in the wanted classified ads to try and get one of these kits to build for my Myford lathe. I would be interested to know if any members had made one and if they were pleased with the end result.

Thread: Myford ML7 & Super 7 saddle/apron fitting
29/01/2018 18:31:12

Hi, I have restored a few Myford lathe lathes but never tried this. The bed section are the same as far as I know, but the ML7 has a 5/8" diameter leadsrew and a Super 7's is 3/4" diameter. So you would need a leadsrew as well to see if it all lines up.

Thread: ADVICE ON MYFORD SUPER 7 PLUS LATHE
29/01/2018 18:11:15

If its of any relevance I sold nice Super 7 last year for £2600, so the big bore version must be worth another £1000.
