Thanks for the replies. however this is exactly the point about there being nothing available. The Axminster course looks almost the job but its 250 miles away. SMEE is all theory which is all right in part but not what I'm looking for; and its in 2012 anyway :-< |

I'd like to learn more about lathe and milling but have found it almost impossible to find a course in northwest Kent or south east London. They are either full time courses for youngsters embarking on an engineering career or are located somewhere up t'north.
Does anyone run a weekend or evening class where I can re-learn all that did at CSE/"O" level metalwork plus more. My old metalwork teacher at school was brilliant and the memories have rekindled my enthusiasm.
I eventually want to buy a Boxford or Myford but need to pick up the fundamentals first.
