Regarding the worm/gear meshing of various combinations … Until someone carefully measures that big bush, we will never be 100% sure … but meanwhile, I am happy to accept Noel’s statement at face value … it is eccentric, and therefore allows the centre distance to be variable. MichaelG. |

To accomadate different tooth counts the gear shaft is in an eccentric bush and is fitted to suit the gear wheel. __________________ ^^^ ______________ |

. […] the speedo reads !00Kph when the car has a GPS speed of 80 Kph. […] . Just a ‘calibration orientated’ thought … Have you checked that it also reads 50kph at a GPS speed of 40kph ? Not sure what species of Speedo the early Mini used MichaelG. . Edit: __ I strongly suspect that they used ‘Magnetic’ speedos [at least on all but the exotic models] … but I stand to be corrected Edited By Michael Gilligan on 28/09/2023 18:54:51 |

Posted by Robert Atkinson 2 on 28/09/2023 07:55:33: […] I was mainly refering to the output side of the pump. Even so the SAHPs are still air-water heatpumps. The key is in the "assisted" in the name. They have a benefit from a degree of solar capture when the sun is shining. How much this affects the air operation is not clear. Robert . Thanks, Robert I will say now … just to be clear for everyone who is contributing to this discussion: I have no interest whatsoever in upgrading circulating water heating system in this property … my ambition is to remove it entirely. […] Michael, so there is a capacitor in the motor? It's frustrating because these days online information mostly consists of someone trying to sell you something, rather than folk taking things apart. . Sorry, Victor … I am out of my depth and can’t answer that ^^^ I was simply observing that although the word CONDENSER appears on the ‘template’ there seems to be no value shown. … I found that simple fact worth mentioning.

Fair enough, Victor … thanks for the clarification MichaelG. .
. I can see no sign of any number stamped between CONDENSER and MFD … perhaps that is a multi-purpose rating plate [ which would be rather naughty of them ]

[…] MG you could consider building a nice detached workshop, I mean summerhouse outbuilding, the max size permitted first and use it to store the house 'stuff' for a while while making other developments. Then afterwards you have er, a nice workshop. . I couldn't consider that for very long … but I haven’t got the will to explain why, here. MichaelG. |

There is more than one type of heat pump. I assume you are referring to the air to water type currently being promoted by the government. […] . Sorry Robert … to whom are you referring ? If it is me, then I pretty clearly stated what I had been looking at … and that is not what you have assumed MichaelG. . Quote from the other thread: Not straying too far off-topic, I hope Does anyone have experience of these: **LINK** https://sahp.info Solar Assisted Heat Pumps for domestic hot water … I am tempted by the SAHP 130

Mchael The annual consuption you state appears to me to be incorrect, I believe either you have a very slow meter or you may have got the dates wrong, 658 kWh for a year !!! If the figures you stated are correct don't request a meter change. Emgee . All seems perfectly consistent to me … I don’t use electricity for heating, just for the items mentioned MichaelG. . Thank you. There is no external capacitor, so I am assuming it has an internal one? . Forgive me please, Victor … I am a little confused You originally stated : “It's a 220v 0.7 amps 1/15 HP motor, with a condenser.” capacitor = condenser MichaelG.
