Anybody joining the dots here..................?

Too much demand on gas.........electricity...........sewage treatment............water next anyone.

Too much demand on rail , road.

Too much demand.

You and me ADY1 , the only ones to 'tell it like it is' .

If I had a stream running through my house , I'd go hydro-electric , problem solved.

24/10/2021 08:50:59

A good start would be the 650 people so keen to impose them on 'us'.

And give 'us' the before and after installation/ running costs this time next year.

With you ADY1 , never let you down do they ?

Traveling 'economy' class, eating in a McDonald's , not for them.

Thread: Seal selection

Everything brilliantly accessible , if only modern cars were like that !

18/10/2021 08:14:57

While driving , that 'drive shaft ' definitely needs protecting from rain, road dust, splashes ,etc.

I am sure you can devise an easily detachable cover to do that .

15/10/2021 16:40:59

That sealed bearing will not keep water out for very long.

15/10/2021 13:20:35

Is there any way you could fit a 'thrower' to the shaft , so that water doesn't get to the lip seal ?

' Guess it's normal , 'us' ' lone survivors ' forget what 'normal consumption ' was.

News is Freightliner can't afford the bill anymore, so are going forward to use diesel motive power instead.

Fuel of the future.

Don't know if the ML10 had it but look for the device that locks the headstock spindle to stop it turning when

fitting/removing the chuck.

Be honest, did even the most PC of you not just break into a smile ?

Thread: Hermes. A Company in Total Confusion!
05/10/2021 20:23:13

I bought a garden spade from ESSTOCK, Hermes delivered the label !

Someone in their system had ' disappeared ' the spade the label had been attached to.

To their credit ESSTOCK sent another spade , which arrived safely.

If you can leave me your email address in my pm of this forum , then I can send you some essential Hermes contacts.

Essentially , until you know the 'way-in' Hermes is a world of pain.

They have an unresolved security problem in their distribution centres , stuff disappears..

Well done wind , finally Nat Grid being made to make it happen.

Currently providing 42% of demand but I bet they are having worries of stability if it suddenly drops.

I wonder what the production line to make AK's from railway lines looks like.

Given time, and a bit of luck, things may get that bad.
