After a few weeks out of the shed, due to the cold and damp (it's Winter up here in Australia), finally got there today. I celebrated by making a couple of glow engine venturies for some club mates. They have been made out of some red Delrin offcuts supplied by a friend. Before anyone says RED Delrin?? Yes it's not very common, but it is available, I also have some green!! The friend used to use it in his dental implant business. Hopefully now that the weather has turned a bit, I'll be able to get more shed time in. cheers Bill Hi Bill. Always nice to get off cuts of any sort. Got to agree with the weather although days are beaut the icy winds keep it cool, it is warming in the sun though.

After 3 years of neglect and spring on its way it was time for some TLC to my small Bonsia collection sadly I lost my major Olive to much water and bugs. Some new shoots off the old main root saved so hopefully in 30 yrs it'll look as good as it once was. My 35 yr old Fig still doing well and its off springs. I've never had one last more than a few years Why your not that old Neil something to look forward to in your retirement years. |

Like XD351 I subscribe if I find its of any interest covering a wide range of metal and woodwork. His list is much the same as mine. Only one I struggle with is MrPete although top videos its his drawl, sorry its just me not him I skip through a lot. as I feel he side tracks far to often. The fellow who is casting in shorts and thongs well there is far more he's doing wrong.
I follow these also as they venture into other areas but still to do with machining https://www.youtube.com/user/outsidescrewball https://www.youtube.com/user/titankron https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6HG4kXPSgb1Bhx6CY9e6iw https://www.youtube.com/user/machiningmoments https://www.youtube.com/user/keithappleton https://www.youtube.com/user/steamwally There are many others some not so great, some its their home business some pure hobby and the size of workshops vary widely as does machines and knowledge. Much like on many forums yet many also have similar ideas or different approaches to what is being done. Still like today a mate who's recently retired trained machinist, die setter, injection moulding has taken to a mini lathe & mill. There is so much to thank so many for..........but I always find if you don't get out and give it a go you'll never learn. |

Be aware there are no spare parts manuals for these table.
Everything inside them is needed.................................. Darn I was wondering if the manual showed servicing etc. I found an oil nipple on the rim today now just need to know type grade of oil etc. Might just use the Myford or 4x4 20W50 I have.

Hi Raymond Neil's description was incomplete. He forgot to mention that if you turn the handle the other way the top would go round the other way.
Damn I thought I'd broken it. OR was that I was winding back the clock trying to make it work like a time machine. I believe it should have More locks.

Gary knowing how busy you get with tool making you won't have time to polish the old girl up and make sure its in working order. I'll gladly take the task on and drop everything else I am doing. Will 12 months be long enough to make sure its in a fit and proper order.
Oh well guess its back to slowly making my own then. |
