Hi, I`m thinking of building a PM research #3 steam engine. This will be my "first blood" into machining. I have a lathe and mill. Would anyone recommend this as a first engine? Peter

The reason im going for the er32 collet chuck is that I want one for my lathe, so two for the price of one.

Just bought a mini mill XJ12-300 and the table size is 460 x 112mm, what would be the biggest vice I could reasonable put on it. Many thanks, Peter

Just a quick update, I have taken the bull by the horns and bought a Amadeal XJ12-300 mill, just the right size for me and to get it in my workshop had a major sort out. Happy days. Peter
