I'm just modelling in SolidWorks from my Dad's copy of the magazine and realised there must be an error in the base. I've probably got the original issue in the loft but many thanks for publishing the corrections here and saving me rummaging through those old copies. Regards Andy |

Thanks for the suggestion Colin - much appreciated. In the end a friend helped me out. He's got a flat bed truck with a HIAB behind the cab and also had a pallet truck. I manged to borrow an engine hoist so between us managed to move it |

Hi All, Does anybody have any recommended contacts for machine moving please? A 2nd hand milling machine from west midlands to Derbyshire. Landylift was highly recommended but unfortunately not doing machine moves at the moment. Thanks Andy |

Thanks Chris, Hello Brian, yes I'm not far from you. I'll be there on the Friday with my Dad. I booked the day off a long time ago and am collecting some bits from Model Engineers Laser. Always gives me some inspiration to get on with my project(s). Thanks Andy |

I'm based north of Derby. I've been building a 5" gauge Jinty (by Martin Evans) for quite a few years. I've got a Raglan Little John lathe with vertical slide used for milling. Up until last year I attended and engineering class at a local secondary school and found this useful as I had access to milling machines and probably more importantly advice from other like minded but mostly more experienced attendees. I'm looking to get a milling machine such as Warco VMC or Chester 626 soon so I've been reading through the threads on here regarding those machines. Than ks for having me! Regards Andy |
