Hi All, Ok thanks for this......Also may a ask about the actual lines used in the drawings ? I notice that there is no variation in the thicknesses of the lines and also the centre lines being solid rather than broken...... Sorry to be pedantic about this but being 'old school' or as i like say olds cool I notice these things...some of the drawings are really good though on other articles . Not complaining of course ,just commenting...

Please may i ask about the latest drawings from A Mounts Ferraby engine in the last edition of M.E. Has something gone terribly wrong in the production process ,or is this a temporary glitch.... |

Re the big world of steam boilers.................Latex rubber was used extensively for the flap valves in air/steam pumps and also rhinoceros hide etc etc etc Willy Bailey

There are 2 new videos on utube One is some of the Norwich model engineers 80th aniversary show ,This can be seen at Forum exhibition 2013. Also i have finnished the bridewell beam angine. This engine was built without the use of any castings and was constructed using silver solderd steel and brass componants as one would with wood. does anybody have any information about articles or models of this engine in back issues of ME. I am making this engine and would like to share information of it . I live in Norwich and have access to this engine and have numerous photos of it. I have also taken off the steam chest cover to expose the function of the protuding knob. any information would be helpfull. |

i have some english mechanics from the 30's with lbsc locos 1931 ayesha also miss economical etc etc . If you wou;d like more info please call me on 07796926784 . I have 6 yearly volumes of this {new series} magazine ? so it did not finnish in 1926 !!! The paper is very thin and they are bound copies so it might be trickey copying them!!!.
