Fantastic! The author "Axel" who published the design in 1923 said it would make a good model. He was correct.

The original model was published in "The Model Engineer and Electrician" starting March 1923. A 3D PDF can be down loaded from "https://sites.google.com/site/davesmodels/" where you can also see some of the other models I have created. Dave Edited By JasonB on 13/02/2019 07:42:06 |
Thread: Emma Victoria - small drawing error |

I have noticed a small discrepancy between the Drop Arm and the Crosshead. The Drop Arm, ME4459 page 50, shows 3 holes of No 34, a 6BA clearance. The Crosshead. ME4465 page 459, shows 2 8BA along the bottom edge. The extra hole is a simple addition but the hole size might catch someone out. Regards Dave |

Hi all, I am hoping to build Emma Victoria when I finish my Little Samson traction engine ( so it might be a while). Instead I am currently creating a 3D CAD model and have noted some small discrepancies in the drawings. 1) The coupled crank pin was a little short as others have mentioned, I just made it a little longer. 2) the slide bars appeared to be 1/16" to short so I adjusted then to 4 1/16" 3) the journals on the driving wheel axles could be made 1/16" longer to match the bearing blocks. I can't think of a reason why thy are a little short. Does any body know if Henery Wood already has a 3D model? I'm just doing it for fun and to understand how I might build it. I do have a 3D PDF of what I have completed but would like permission to publish (as I don't want to tread on any toes).
