Some things seem to just not work. It seem to be a one way event. We pay and do not recieve our subscriptions. nothing wrong with our money. Satisfaction guarentee;
If we are not satisfied with your money, we will send it back. otherwise live with our excuses.

I Subscribed end of last year.
Got notified that I will receive from issue 160.
Up to date a couple of excuses later still no magazine.
Issue 161 is already available on the archive page.

Still wating for more excuses via Email.
to print a copy via the internet cost more that the magazine that were paid for.

Thread: MEW Digital Archive Scanning Problems
01/02/2010 14:28:15
It seem that the publishers are happy about receiving the money for subscriptions for the digital archives, but does not supply an email for the responsible person for this department.
Please give us a name with whom we can communicate about issues around the digital archive.

Thread: Digital editions of Model Engineer and Model Engineers' Workshop.
22/01/2010 06:04:10
Hi
At this stage, Digital copies can be viewed, and printed. Software is available to print to PDF format. The problem is that the thirdparty application used to view the PDF's uses up a lot of bandwidth to display the pages in animated format, and require Flash viewer to be installed. Other magazines on this site is downloadable in PDF Format.

The argument about selling copies on EBAY.
The people looking for copies want the original, as they most likely are collectors.
If I were a collector I would not pay for a copied copy of the magazine.

Please reconsider the suggestion to make the copies downloadable as PDF files.

Hi David
Just a suggestion.
Why not make the pdf downloadable? If I have printed the issue, I doubt i I would go back to it.
Eddie.

Hi David

Thanks for attending to the problem, I dont mind the ads, as kieth stated, the index would then be of use.

Hi
In MEW 120 Page 51 is missing, it it part of an article, Page 52 is an advert.
May I suggest that somebody check all digital copies and fix them, starting from issue 1?
It is quite expensive to get the copy, finding pages are missing.
Eddie.

Thread: Lathe for Beginner
24/08/2009 15:14:33
Hi
The question is How much are you prepared to spend?
What would you like to do with the Lathe, this will determine the swing, distance between centers etc.
Do you want a metric or imperial thread cutting capability or both.
Then start looking for a lathe that has the capabilities that you require.
There are people standing in their suits, claiming the a Sports car is waht you must buy, you might need a run-around.
