Bridgeport milling machines used to use a spray mist system in their industrial interact milling machines,but unless you have an efficient extraction system,it was considered beneficial to tool life and surface finish but not to your health.It was abandoned due to health and safety requirements. One of the ways I have succesfully turned, or drilled an eccentric dia./hole is to turn a shouldered blank out of a piece of scrap material,of which can safely accomodate the eccentric offset (half the value of the actual eccentric) . Then mount it in a milling machine for boring or drilling half that value of the required eccentric.When transferred back to the 3 jaw chuck,a prefect eccentric.Simples.This is providing you have a milling machine with a DRO to accurately position the offset.
