A correction and apology. The possible supplier of short 0 Morse taper tooling should have been Cowells and not Perris as I stated. Sorry just another "senior moment" to add to my ever growing list!! regards Ian |

I have a Flexispeed lathe which is an earlier version of the Simat 101. It takes the "short 0 Morse" taper, that is the small end of the full taper. Cutting down seems to be the answer, but perhaps Perris can still supply tooling of the right size as I believe their machine was based on the original Flexispeed / Simat 101 design. regards Ian |
