Looking for advice please

Which Sievert torch do I buy ?

I am in the process of building a steam engine and will need to silver solder a boiler in the near future. The boiler dimensions are approx 3" dia x 6" long. I would also like to get a burner suitable for smaller jobs i.e. fabrication of a small crankshaft (3/16 dia shaft 1/8" mild steel webs)

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated

Looking for advice on which slideway oil for my newly acquired WM250 lathe & WM16 Mill - would like to use the same oil for both machines, slides and general lubrication. Should I get 68 or 32 - is it only the viscosity that's different ? or should I use something different altogether ? Thanks in advance

My thoughts are that 12mm provides increased rigidity, that's the only reason. Are there benefits in buying 8mm ?

What are the experiences of the Chinese tooling - seems very cheap ! not always a good sign but are they OK for the hobby engineer who may not demand heavy cuts or the speed of production that industry requires ?

Still require a good finish though

I am in the process of purchasing lathe tools to use on my Warco 250 - 12mm tooling

I will be turning Bar stock - Brass, Mild Steel, Stainless & Aluminium, I appreciate I may need a different tip for certain materials

I would like to standardize tips across a range of tools - there are so many !!

Any advice would be appreciated
