Hello Steve, Many thanks for all your help. The photos clear up the problem which was ME. I thought that the two tee bolts fitted into two slots on the slide not both into one slot. Talk about being a beginner!!!!

I have a ML10 and a milling attachment but cannot see how to attach the miller to the cross slide. Can anyone help here please?
