David, ok that would be great as I'm at my wits end with it. I just want to get it up and running. Cheers

Hi Chris,

The serial no on my Bridgeport is 358130481W.

Does this tell you what model it is and year of manufacture?

Hi Guys,

Thank you for letting me join the forum as a new member. I have recently bought a Bridgeport Milling machine, J head, variable pulley model. On inspection the previous owner/ or owner before that had cut all the wires going to the control box by the knee. I have managed to trace wires back to the main control box via continuity testing. The fault I am having at the moment is when I turn on the machine then turn on the toggle switch ( far left) on the control box, the contactors come on, then when I press the green button the contactor disengages. I know this is wrong because it should be the reverse of what I just said. I have tried all different combinations with wires going to different places on the control box but I just seem to be coming up against a brick wall with this. Has anyone out there got a wiring diagram of the control box so I can get it up and running please??
