Thanks for going to the trouble to take the pictures Graham. You would have thought that a part with a part number would be the same? I don't understand what the grub screw and the brass pad are for? Many thanks John |

Thanks very much Graham. I will look through my box of old valve springs. The Lock nut is the part you unscrew to disengage the power feed. Just where the spring fits. |

When i got my Harrison Milling Machine it was in pieces. Now its almost back in one piece i am noticing some parts are missing. The parts are [ Part number MH1 1 12 Locknut and SG 253 Compression Spring. I know the lock nut has a 1/2 UNC thread. Could someone measure these parts for me?. Many Thanks John |

Hello I have now got the DRO installed. Problem is i find myself not using it, seems to lie as to what the OD is. Got a bit of backlash in the cross slide nut about 0.4 mm i need to make some sort of cross slide lock? Any one else had this problem? Thanks in advance. John |

Kwil I like the way you have routed your cables very neat. How have you done that? I notice you are using all Microsyn scales?, the longer scale on mine is the steel type Spherosyn. I will post some photos of my install soon. John |

Hello, Thanks for the idea of hanging the scale over the back there. That is the only way it is going to fit, i thought i was buying a Bantam specific DRO kit two months later and 35 phone calls and it's still not done. The Newall scales are very cleaver. it's a stainless steel tube with ball bearings inside that the reader head reads from. You would think buying British you would get some good instructions. John |

Hello Has anyone fitted a Newall NMS 300 DRO On a Colchester Bantam MK1? Having problems fitting the cross slide scale, because of the cut outs to get to the compound adjusting nuts. John |

Hi Great Lathe i have the same but the long bed version. I am in the process of fitting a Newall DRO to mine. I only problem i have had with mine is Suds getting in the feeds gearbox? And i am jealous of your taper turning attatchment. Have fun cleaning it up. John |
