Thread: Problem with Sieg SX2.7L fine feed stuck
05/04/2019 23:47:10

The mill is brand new. I was informed that the machine needs to be worn in before it will work smooth. The problem with a machine like SX2.7 is the weight. It is not easy to ship et back. I used a manual crane to put it on my worktable. So i will try to work with it in the coming weeks to see if it will loosen up. I was told that the demo mill had similar friction.

I will make a new post about the progress when i have put some hours in the machine.

Just been talking to Arceurotrade. They have been very helpfull. I got instructions to remove the fine feed and lubricate it. The machine is OK but for anyone else having the same problems. The machine just need breaking in. I also got the SX2p from ARC - that machine is more loose from start.

So i will let the chips fly. angel

I can remowe the handle for locking and the fine feed is still locked together with the large handles

When i insert a magnetic screwdriver the pin and a 8 mm ball comes out.

If i insert all parts again and tightens both fine feed and large handles becomes very hard to move.

I got at brand new Sieg SX2.7L. The fine feed will not disengage, This gives a lot of resistance when trying to drill. Tried to remove the handle for engaging the fine feed, Any idea will be helpfull,
