I know the gears from myfords ml7 and ml10 will fit the ml2 which has a 5/8th diameter drive hole, so does that mean any gears with a centre hole of 5/8th diameter will be ok

After a little research I think my lathe is an ml2 and not a ml4 as it is 15ins between centres, any way the motor I got with it is a non runner, what motor would people recommend, 1/4hp or 1/3hp single phase or three phase

The lathe has a 7/8in thread on the spindle, im a novice when it comes to machining so anything to technical will be a no go until I get a little more experience
