Cheers Neil. Did you know this was the actual engine used in the build featured in Model Engineer between 1966 and 1967? I am in touch with Colin Tyler's son Neil now, and we will be getting together once the BB1 is back from being recommissioned. It's had quite a life, having being on Blue Peter in 1969 (and featuring on one of the Blue Peter puzzles), and in the 1976 film 'At The Earth's Core'. I have put some photos in an album on here. I know this is a very old thread, but I now own the BB1 built by Colin Tyler. His collection came back to the UK and was sold by Station Road Steam. I am getting it recommissioned to run on steam again. |

I just bought the BB1. It's a wonderful engine, and with so much history! |
