Hi Keith, Hmmm, stranger and stranger. The quality of the company literature doesn't seem to match that of their product by the looks of it.In 1970 I had just come out of my time and I've used the odd rod or two since then, fear not, I shall take care. Thanks for taking the time to give what information you have. |

Thank you Brian, That's what I found, just about everything but the one you want. As is the way with these things, after posting on here I found this on ebay " EUTECTIC WELDING ALLOYS LTD NORTH FELTHAM WELDING ALLOYS PRODUCT CATALOGUE c1960 " This shows the 1600 as a " Special Silver Alloy " Rod having a " Medium to low melting " range. The search continues. Thanks again for your reply. |

Hi, I recently bought a quantity of Silver solder that came along with several boxes of " Eutecrod 1600FC " flux coated "silver bearing" 3/32" rods. I like to know what I'm using and have been unable to find anything out regarding these rods. Not surprising given the phone number on the boxes is " Feltham 6571". While the flux coating is in a pretty poor state, I did try one on a piece of copper using just a Primus 2000 propane torch and it flowed beautifully. Any information regarding the content / use for, these rods would be welcome, Thanks. |
